baby dedication

on november 1st we had baby dedication at our church, the ark. we were so excited to pray over nolan and give his life over to the Lord. i love baby dedications! it is our heart's cry that our children grow up to love the Lord with all of their heart. we love taking an outward, public step forward to give our kid's over to God and completely entrust them in His hands.

this particular baby dedication there were 5 kids dedicated to the Lord, including our sweet nolan. here are all the parents and precious babies.

i love that nolan knows to look straight at the camera ;)

sean could not make up his mind if he wanted to stand up there with us or not... too much energy to stay in one place for more than 10 seconds (and nolan still looking straight into the camera lol)!

pastor marsha saved the day when nolan's shoe fell off

this picture makes me laugh! nolan's looking at pastor phillip like "what are you about to do to me??"

i'm not sure what we're so excited about here. probably cuz all those babies were so darn cute. as were my new fuscia shoes that i got half off at payless :)

i cannot wait to see God's plans unfold in nolan's life. we know he is annointed and has a high calling already. God is going to use this awesome boy with such a sweet spirit to do great things for His kingdom!

fall festival

a few weekends back our church had a fall festival at our good friends jamie & heather's house. we had such a great time! it was an old fashioned carnival theme with lots of kids, games, candy, and fun!

pastor jamie & heather with all of their kingdom station kids! such a great group of future prophets & evangelists, men & women of God- kids who even now have miracles, signs, & wonders follow them wherever they go!

remember that post i wrote about how to make slime? well, this is what we used it for!

the annual slime slide! so fun! sean didn't want to go on it, but you know who did? pastor marsha- that's right, our pastor's wife!!!! how cool is she? how many of your pastor's wives from your church would go down a slime slide??? :)

we ended the night with a hay ride around the neighborhood, which was SO much fun! what a great day!!

hillbilly dinner

several weeks ago many of you saw these random pictures on my wordless wednesday post.
well, they were used as advertisements for our church's first ever hillbilly dinner!
there are many things i love about my church, but one of the biggest things is that we can be spiritual & broken when we need to, but we all have a great sense of humor and know how to have fun as well!

our church was covered in adorable, hilarious decorations.
we had a good old fashioned southern dinner- sweet tea, fried chicken, rolls, beans, and corn on the cob. and what else would be for dessert but banana pudding?

we had some very "special" entertainment

who are these people? pastor phillip & marsha of course!

we had a really fun night with great friends!

we even came up with a new invention- the redneck baby carrier!

we're already discussing the church's next dinner party... possibly a tacky christmas sweater one?

10 on Tuesday

about a month ago our church did an outreach at the university of northern alabama. it was amazing! a bunch of the youth/college "kids" did a stomp routine, and many people shared their testimonies. it was so awesome to watch God move & work through all of them! it had been raining all week but God answered our prayers & it held off for the outreach, then it started raining again when we were done (no joke). here are 10 of my favorite pics i took that day!

1. of course my favorite picture would be of my awesome husband bringing the Word! he always does an incredible job whenever he preaches!

2. i just love the coloring in this shot of the stomp team all on the amphitheater stage
3. this is sarah. she's amazing. check out how high she's jumping in the first picture.
4. because it had been raining, it made for some incredible clouds
5. algee. 15 years old. anointed rapper/song writer. doing his thing here.
6. matt doing the matt dance like nobody else can do!
7. josh has such a tender heart and open ear to the Lord, not to mention he can play the piano like nobody's business. i love this guy.
8. we're all about girl's sharing God's heart too
9. ben. another tender spirit. him and kaiti (above) will be getting married next year!
10. we were thankful for the crowd that showed up and stayed, along with all of those who stopped & listened. God brought who needed to be there to us! the random stroller in the middle would be mine ;) we'll be going back in the fall when school starts up again and are so stoked!
