and so it begins...

Remember when I told you last week that  Sean started school??  Well, he already has homework!
And me, being the mom that I am, had to document his first time doing homework ;)  He still doesn't quite have the motor skills down to hold his pencil/crayon correctly (which most kids don't at the beginning of pre-K) but he was so excited & serious about doing his work.

They had to "practice writing" each letter.  I when I was pregnant with Sean I taught kindergarten, so I tried to do with Sean what I did with the kids- make a dotted-line letter for him to trace.  He did ok with that.  Then I tried drawing dots and showing him where to draw the lines.  He did ok with that too.  Then I let him try by himself.  I was pretty impressed with it, actually.  You may not be able to see the resemblance of what he wrote with the actual letter, but I know how he tried & I see it.  I'm proud of him.  Can't wait to see what these letters will look like at the end of the year!

I love that he was so proud :)
Now we just have 14 more years of homework to get through... well, until college ;)

So cute! I love the first picture! You can really tell he was concentrating! And I love his little face beaming with pride in the last picture!
