my heart is hurting :(

Hey guys, I know that I am waaaay behind on my blogging... life has been really super busy lately! But today I am coming to ask all of my prayer warrior friends out there in blog land to pray for a friend of mine.

She went in today to find out the gender of her baby and instead found out that the baby has a heart defect, the lungs aren't developed properly, & the dr. couldn't see any kidneys. They were told there was a greater than 50% chance of survival in the womb until birth but that the baby wouldn't live past that. They are in shock, of course, and heartbroken.

I believe God is sovereign in ALL situations. And I also believe that God is a healing God. He can heal this baby, and He can heal their hurting hearts.

i try to keep my blog uplifting and fun, but today my heart is hurting for little noah and i want to ask all who read my blog to say a prayer for him.

noah is the nephew of some friends of ours. i've never met his parents but my husband is old friends with them.


within the last week they have found a mass the size of an adult's fist in noah's brain. today is the day he's going in to surgery to have a biopsy done and i'm putting out a call for all of us brothers & sisters to unite and lift this sweet boy up in prayer!

God is still a healing God.

thank you to everyone who prayed for the family friends of mine i posted about the other day. i know they appreciate all prayers, and need them greatly.

today is the funeral, so i'm asking once again if you could say a little (or big) prayer for them. it's gonna be a tough day on the whole family.

i hope everyone had an amazing 4th of july! we had a wonderful time with a TON of friends over at our place. i can't wait to blog about it and share pictures!

but today i am trying to use the blogging world as a tool to call on all who pray. a family that i grew up in church with, the minter's, have been dealing with a shocking and heart breaking tragedy this holiday weekend. their 14-year-old son, cody, was playing basketball on thursday night and collapsed. he was unable to be revived & went to be with the Lord too soon. you can read the newspaper article here. his parents and two brothers (ages 16 & 10) are dealing with questions every family who has been through a tragedy deals with, and are heavily leaning on all prayers from their family, friends, & strangers.

so, if this family crosses your mind, please say a little prayer for them. this is something that they can get through only with the Lord's help & the Holy Spirit's peace and love.

it has been a bitter and tearful reminder to me that we so often take our family for granted. so hug your spouse & your kids a little tighter today, spend a little bit more time playing & laughing and lot less time saying "hold on a sec." thank the Lord for everyone He has blessed your life with. i'm doing the same.
