let them be little... sniff sniff

This week's theme on I Heart Faces is perfect for my stage in life right now.  Since it has been almost a month since my last post on here, it's safe to say life with 3 kids has taken it's effect on my blogging.  But that's ok.  If you looked at my pile of clean, folded laundry waiting to be put away, you would see life with 3 kids has taken it's effect on that, too.  And my dishes.  And my house in general.  But you know what?  That's ok!

I apologized to Dathan on the condition of our house.  The truth is, I can't seem to put Paxton down.  He's so sleepy & cuddly & I just want to hold him.  All day.  And so I do.  When Sean was a newborn, everything was new & there was so much I had to learn.  When Nolan was a newborn I felt as if I knew what I was doing, but adjusting to life with two was extremely difficult.  This time has been such a peaceful transition, & I am well aware of how fast time goes by when you have a newborn (I mean I didn't even realize it had been almost a month since I blogged!).  And so I hold him.  And I cuddle him.  And I pray over him & sing to him & kiss him on his forehead.

The laundry can wait.  So can the dishes.  And the toys on the floor.  Because they are only this little for such a short amount of time.  And when he doesn't curl up into a ball anymore and cuddle on my chest, I'm not going to care if my house was clean.  I'm just going to wish I spent more time cuddling with him when he was this little.  So I am.
